Training Scheduled on City Owned Property

On Thursday, March 7, the Iowa State Patrol Special Operations Group will be conducting training exercises in town at a property owned by the City of Knoxville, located at 314 W. Robinson. With the training there will be an increase in activity and vehicles on the property. The City of Knoxville wants to make the public aware of the training and that there are no safety concerns to the general public while the training is being conducted.

After March 7, the City has hired Cushman Excavation to demolish the house and garage on the property. Once demolition is completed the property ownership will be transferred to Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Inc. as they’ve purchased the property contingent upon demolition.
