Jessica Bolkema, RN, BSN, Family Birthing Center, was selected as Pella Regional Health Center’s February Shining Star for her high performance standards. Bolkema, resident of Oskaloosa, was nominated based on attitude, commitment, communication, privacy, safety, and ownership.
Excerpt from her nomination:
“Jessica is currently the Director of Obstetrics and works additional hours to ensure that our staff is covered fully. She is dedicated and hardworking, extremely organized, and focused on continuously learning and developing best practices in managing routine health care. She genuinely cares about delivering excellent quality care to our patients. She motivates many to give their best effort and exceptional care. Jessica is very deserving of this award.” Bolkema will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the nominations for Shining Star of the Year award.
