The first day is always devoted to traveling
In order to get to a destination, one must dedicate a portion of their time to traveling in order to
get there. One of my favorite things or modes of transportation is via plane. I’m not sure why and
I can’t even pick whether I like taking off or landing better, I simply enjoy all of it, even the
adrenaline rush I get when I’m in an airport or boarding the plane. In order to get to London,
which is where I am traveling for my May Term course for Simpson College, we flew to Atlanta
from the Des Moines Airport in the afternoon and sat in airport for 6 ½ hours. Sitting in the
airport for that long feels like forever, but in the evening (I’m writing this at 6:00 ET), we will
board a flight and fly to London and land after an 8-hour flight. I’m hoping I will be able to sleep
on the flight because we have a long day planned for our first day across the pond!
