Dr. Spencer Carlstone recently opened Sincera Urgent Care at 1518 Washington Street in Pella.
Carlstone explains the idea of urgent care is to bridge the gap between unscheduled medical appointments and situations that truly threaten life and limb that leads patients to the emergency room. His clinic takes the last three suites of the southeast corner of the Pella Marketplace strip mall.
In his process of opening the clinic, Carlstone painted the exterior a color called BM Moonshine and removed awnings – both done with the building owner’s permission.
However, he made these changes before having a design permit approved by the Community Development Committee. When he came before the CDC on May 8, he apologized profusely for the oversight. The CDC approved his request.
