The Pella Christian Eagles advanced to the next round of postseason golf with a first place finish at their Sectional at Bos Landen Golf Course. The Eagles shot a team score of 328 on the day to come in first place and advance to districts, with Pleasantville coming in second with a 354 and Woodward-Granger coming in third with a 368 to also advance to districts at Lake Panorama Golf Course next Monday, May 13.
The Eagles were led by a pair of 80’s from Eliot Menninga and Isaiah Breems. Menninga beat out Breems on the 2nd playoff hole to claim medalist honors for the day. Cooper Spronk placed 3rd in the meet with an 82 on the day. Junior Deacon Branderhorst carded an 86 to end the day tied in 6th place. Landon Fransman shot a 90 to finish in a tie for 9th place for the day. Carter Brand rounded out the Eagles varsity squad with a 97.
The Eagles will play at Lake Panorama National Golf Course on Monday, May 13 to try to advance to the state tournament.
