Marion County athletes qualify for State Track

The high school State Track Meet is set for Thursday, May 16, through Saturday, May 18, at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Marion County will be well-represented in several events.

Here’s who qualified:

Knoxville – Ciara Heffron, discus and shotput; Cael Irving, 800M run; Isaac Rankin, 3,200M run; Koby Higginbotham, 110M Hurdles and 400M Hurdles; Kaiden Smith, 110M Hurdles.

Melcher-Dallas – Trista Hansaker, 100M Dash and 200M Dash.

Pella – Mara Schiebout, 200M Dash; Lizzie Neumman, 400M Dash; Macy Schroeder, 400M Dash; Raegan Snieder, 800M Run; Marissa Ferebee, 1,500M Run and 3,000M Run; Ruth Dunham, 1,500M Run and 3,000M Run; Girls’ 4x200M Run; Girls’ 4x400M Run; Girls’ 4x800M Run; Girls’ 800 Sprint Medley; Katie Scheckel, shotput; Girls’ Distance Medley; Harrison Mullens, 400M Dash; Mason Gaulke, 800M Run; Nathan Vander Waal, 1,600M Run and 3,200M Run; Canaan Dunham, 3,200M Run; Cor Huyser, 400M Hurdles; Boys’ 4x400M Relay; Boys’ 4x800M Relay; Boys’ Distance Medley; Bailey Shetterly, long jump; Hanson King, discus and shotput; Boys’ 4x110M Shuttle Hurdle.

Pella Christian – Rachel Kacmarynski, 100M Dash; Meredith Van Wyk, 200M Dash; Bailey Vos, 400M Dash; Girls’ 4x100M Relay; Girls 4x200M Relay; Girls’ 4x400M Relay; Girls’ 800 Sprint Medley; Sawyer Meinders, 3,200M Run; Trevor Veenstra, shotput and discus.

Pleasantville – Girls’ 4x100M Shuttle Hurdle; Boys’ 4x100M Relay; Braylon Bingham, high jump.

Twin Cedars – Noah Fee, long jump.
