In the past 24 hours Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 36 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 23 extra patrol requests, 8 paper services, 1 report of a
reckless driver, 1 rescue, 1 suicidal subject, 1 motorist assist, 1 report of suspicious
activity, 1 business alarm, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded 52
calls including 14 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no
subjects were booked into the jail.

Jan 20th:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 34 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 22 patrol requests, 3 motorist assists, 2 rescue calls, 1 fight, 1 residential structure
fire, 1 incomplete 911, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 welfare check, 1 debris call, and returned 1
phone call.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 60 calls including 14 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 13 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.

Jan 21st:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 17 calls for service including but not limited
to: 7 extra patrol requests, 2 paper service attempts, returned 2 phone calls, 1 violation
of no contact order, 1 fire alarm, 1 fight, 1 motorist assist, 1 suspicious odor, and 1 other
call.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 90 calls including 34 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 19 subjects. In the past 24 hours, one subject was booked
into the Marion County Jail: Benjamin Robert Vander Heiden, age 34 of Harvey, was
charged with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana 1st.

Jan 22nd:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 23 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 4 extra patrol requests, 4 follow up calls, 3 motorist assists, 2 paper service
attempts, 2 dog calls, 1 grass fire, 1 transport, 1 welfare check, 1 residential alarm, 1
accident, 1 reckless driver, 1 domestic, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 56 calls including 13 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 12 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.

Jan 23rd:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 26 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 10 extra patrol requests, 4 paper service attempts, 4 follow ups, returned 2 phone
calls, 1 accident, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 salvage tag, 1 unlicensed driver, 1 reckless driver,
and 1 motorist assist.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 74 calls including 15 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 13 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.

Jan 24th:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 44 calls for service including but not limited
to: 15 extra patrol requests, 7 paper services, 5 follow ups, 4 motorist assists, 2
transports, 2 vehicle unlocks, 2 rescues, 2 reports of reckless drivers, 1 accident, 1
burglary, 1 wanted person, 1 theft, and 1 other call for service.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 80 calls including 15 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked into
the Marion County Jail: Anijah Onrae Ford, age 18 of West Des Moines, was charged
with possession-marijuana 1st; Lacy Joe Eiteman, age 29 of Perry, was charged with
child endangerment-death, and abandonment/neglect dependent; Angela Diane
Asberry, age 40 of Knoxville, was charged with violation of pretrial release.

Jan 25th:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 22 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 4 extra patrol requests, 4 paper services, 2 accidents, 2 motorist assists, 2 follow
ups, 2 suicidal subjects, 1 wanted person, 1 report of criminal mischief, 1 vehicle unlock,
1 report of reckless driver, 1 deer, and 1 return call.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 100 calls including 25 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 13 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the jail: Blade Michael Chenet, age 23 of Bussey, was charged with violation of no
contact order-domestic; Dylan Taylor Elswick, age 34 of Eddyville, was charged with
theft in the 5th degree <$300; Preston John Followill, age 21 of Des Moines, was
charged with violation of probation.
