In the past 24 hours Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 21 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 4 extra patrol requests, 4 rescues, 3 assists, 3 paper
service attempts, 2 motorist assist, 1 juvenile, 1 return call, 1 report of a suspicious
person, 1 deer, and 1 animal bite.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 60 calls including 19 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Jerry Lowell Goodlove, age 49 of Knoxville,
was charged with domestic assault choking/bodily injury; Kevin Phillip Vajda, age 43 of
Corydon, was charged with OWI 1st offense and driver's license denied/revoked OWI.
Jan 27th:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 26 calls for service including but not limited
to: 6 requests to assist other agencies, 4 return calls, 2 rescues, 2 domestics, 2 reckless
drivers, 2 grass fires, 2 extra patrol checks, 2 motorist assists, 1 unlicensed driver, 1
horse call, 1 vehicle accident, and 1 report of suspicious activity.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 72 calls including 27 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the Jail: Naintara Kay Mahmood, age 36 of Pella, was charged with domestic
abuse assault-1st; Renae Nicole Clark, age 36 of Oskaloosa, was charged with theft 5th
degree<$300; Bradon Michael Pettyjohn, age 36 of Knoxville, was charged with
trespass 1st offense and threat-explosive/incendiary device.

In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 36 calls for service including but not limited
to: 14 extra patrol requests, 3 reckless drivers, 2 follow up calls, returned 2 phone calls,
2 grass fires, 2 paper service attempts, met with 2 subjects, 1 horse, 1 vehicle
inspection, 1 domestic, 1 civil call, 1 accident, 1 incomplete 911, 1 structure fire, and 2
other calls.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 83 calls including 26 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the Marion County Jail: Daniel Ray Pope, age 66 of Knoxville, was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance-1st, 2nd, and
two counts in the 3rd, and two counts of felon in control of a firearm.
Jan 29th:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 41 calls for service including but not limited
to: 17 extra patrol requests, 5 follow up calls, 2 paper service attempts, 2 motorist
assists, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 reckless driver, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 fire alarm, 1 wanted
subject, 1 civil call, returned 1 phone call, met with 1 subject, 1 suspicious person, 1
horse call, 1 suicidal subject, 1 rescue call, and 3 other calls.

into the Marion County Jail: Steven Michael Keegel, age 31 of Bussey, was charged
with violation of probation; David Richard Stowell, age 37 of Ottumwa, was charged with
driving under suspension and provide proof financial liability; Amy Louise Bonnett, age
53 of Knoxville, was charged with drug trafficking-5mg-100 kg meth, possession of drug
paraphernalia, and possession-marijuana 1st

In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 39 calls for service including but not limited
to: 16 extra patrol requests, 4 rescues, 3 paper service attempts, 3 motorist assists, 2
requests to assist other agencies, 2 fraud calls, 1 grass fire, 1 report of a suspicious
vehicle, 1 deer in the roadway, 1 follow up, 1 report of a reckless driver, 1 incomplete
911, and 3 other calls.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 101 calls including 42 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 21 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 10 subjects were booked
into the Marion County Jail: Austin Brayce Goemaat, age 20 of Knoxville, was charged
with possession of alcohol under age-1st, public intoxication, and minor use of
tobacco/vapor product; Zachary John Davis, age 37 of Williamson, was changed with
driving under suspension; Joseph Leo Heuertz, age 37 of Johnston, Allen Michael
Thomas age 47 of Newton, Anthony Trey Donihoo age 25, Michael Patrick Berst age
60, and Kayleb Kenneth Billington age 26 of Des Moines, Cody Dean Cloud age 39 of
Madrid, Cooper Douglas Hockmuth age 22 of Ankeny were all on hold for other
agencies.

Feb 1st:
In the past 24 hours deputies responded to 44 calls for service including but not limited
to: 10 extra patrol requests, 8 paper service attempts, 4 returned calls, 3 follow ups, 2
rescues, 2 reports of power line down, 2 accidents, 2 reports of reckless drivers, 2
reports of suspicious people, 1 incomplete 911, 1 wanted person, 1 theft, 1 cat, 1
request to meet a subject, and 2 other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 120 calls including 49 911 calls.

into the jail: Sierra Lynn Butcher, age 37 from Fremont ,was charged with lottery-
forged/theft of ticket, and theft 3rd degree>$750-<$1500; Samantha Jo Murphy, age 28
of Knoxville, was charged with driving while barred, driving while license suspended,
and provide proof financial liability; Ami Doris Martin, age 44 of Knoxville, and David
Eugene Richards, age 54 of Albia, both were charged with driving while barred.
