Marion County Sheriff’s Report Feb 9th-15th

Feb 9th:
In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 18 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 5 extra patrol requests, 3 paper service attempts, 2 deer, 2
civil matters, 1 grass fire, 1 report of reckless driver, 1 rescue, 1 request for a vehicle
unlock, 1 wanted person, and 1 welfare check.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
82 calls including 26 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 17 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Keith Wayne Piersel, age 61 of Pella, was
charged with assault; Timothy Dewayne Miller, II, age 39 of Milo, was charged with two
counts of violation of probation; Kairee Lynn Bishop, age 28 of Knoxville, was charged
with domestic assault-bodily injury 1 st .

Feb 10th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 16 calls for service including but not limited
to: 2 reckless drivers, 2 extra patrol checks, 2 rescues, 2 requests to assist other
agencies, 1 fight, 1 civil matter, 1 motorist assist, 1 dog call, 1 transport, 1 domestic, and
2 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 67 calls including 17 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 17 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Casie Lynn Dittmer, age 44 of Lacona, and Slade Alan Olson, age 27 of
Knoxville, both were charged with OWI-1st offense.

Feb 11th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 42 calls for service including but not limited
to: 12 extra patrol requests, 10 paper service attempts, 3 rescues, 2 follow ups, 2 return
calls, 2 motorist assists, 2 dog calls, 1 vehicle inspection, 1 parking complaint, 1
reckless driver, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 request to assist another agency, and 4 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 127 calls including 33 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Edwin Vazquez-Quiroz, age 20 of Des Moines, was charged with driving
under suspension; Elizabeth Christine Darrah, age 64 of Pleasantville, was charged
with possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance-1, 2,
and 3rd.

Feb 12th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 47 calls for service including but not limited
to: 18 extra patrol checks, 9 paper service attempts, 4 rescues, 3 requests to assist
other agencies, 3 follow ups, 2 vehicle unlocks, 1 reckless driver, 1 civil matter, 1 return
call, 1 vehicle accident, 1 transport, 1 report of harassment, 1 report of suspicious
activity, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 78 calls including 20 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Jennifer Rae Hanigan, age 42 of Knoxville, is being hold-court order.

Feb 13th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 20 calls for service including but not limited
to: 5 extra patrol requests, 5 accidents, 2 motorist assists, 2 paper service attempts, 2
follow up calls, 1 ATV call, 1 alarm call, 1 transport, and 1 rescue call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 89 calls including 23 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 16 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Bobby Joe Raney, age 34 of Knoxville, is being held for judgment
entry/mittimus.

Feb 14th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 42 calls for service including but not limited
to: 12 paper service attempts, 5 motorist assists, 4 accidents, 4 extra patrol requests, 4
follow up calls, 2 rescue calls, 2 vehicle inspections, 1 suspicious person, 1 fraud call, 1
request for traffic control, 1 incomplete 911, 1 return phone call, 1 livestock call, 1 dog
call, 1 suicidal subject, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 123 calls including 39 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 16 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.

Feb 15th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 49 calls for service including but not limited
to: 22 extra patrol requests, 6 paper service attempts, 3 motorist assists, 3 rescue calls,
1 transport, 1 follow up, 1 violation of no contact order, 1 wanted subject, 1 vehicle
unlock, 1 dog, met with 1 subject, 1 reckless driver, 1 deer, 1 grass fire, and 5 other
cars.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 80 calls including 15 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the jail: Joshua James Figland, age 41 of Knoxville, was charged with possession
of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance-1, 2, and 3rd; Michael
Jeffery Bright, age 25 of Des Moines, was charged with violation of probation; Todd
Wayne Braden, age 56 of Oskaloosa, was charged with 4 counts of failure to
appear/contempt of court.
