Jerry Hackert

Jerry Hackert was born March 2, 1943, to Carl and Christine (Terlouw) Hackert. He attended Lynnville-Sully schools and graduated from Sully High School in 1961.
On July 7, 1964, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Vande Krol in the Sully First Reformed Church. Jerry worked as a dairy farmer, carpenter, Maytag employee, as well as various other places. Jerry enjoyed the Iowa State Fair, antiquing and cowboy movies.
Jerry is survived by his wife Phyllis and their family:

He is also survived by his siblings: Ken (Verna) Hackert of Lynnville, and Karen (Don) Jansen of Grinnell, and sister-in-law Karen Hackert.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Lavonne (Forrest) Van Wyk, and brother Paul Hackert.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 8, at the Sully Community Church in Sully. This will be followed by a visitation and luncheon from 11:30 to 1:30 pm, also at Sully Community Church. A private family interment will be held prior to the memorial service. The Garden Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
