Keith Bailey

Keith Bailey was born on October 12, 1936, in Knoxville, Iowa. Keith graduated from Bussey High School in 1956 and returned to the family farm West of Bussey.

Keith married Connie Swearngain on December 12, 1958, in Attica. Keith farmed his entire life, beginning with the family’s century farm and expanding it with the help of his two brothers Richard and David. His passions were love for his family, farming, hunting and fishing.

Keith died peacefully on March 12, 2025, in his home at the age of 88 years 5 months.

Keith is survived by his wife Connie; daughter Kim (Jon) Friest; three sons: Ryan (Allyson) of Hamilton, IA; Jeremy (Stephanie) of Hamilton, IA; Lance (Shellee) of Johnston, IA; nine grandchildren: Kellon Tremmel, Taylor (Shane) Hallengren, Hunter and Eli Bailey, Attylissa (Levi) Collins, Olivia and Quinton Bailey, Grace and Tyler Bailey; and three great-grandchildren: Max and Cam Hallengren, Vashti Collins.

Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edna (Tucker) Bailey, sisters Beth Jager and Dolores Dykstra and brother Richard Bailey.

Memorials can be directed to Liberty Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Knoxville (new location – 309 West Main St.)
