Rebecca Case

May 04, 2025

Rebecca Case, 71, of Knoxville, passed away on April 29, 2025. A celebration of life
service will be held on May 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in
Knoxville. Family will receive guests following the service until 6:00 p.m.
Rebecca was born on September 19, 1953, to William and Lola Clarke in Illinois.
Rebecca grew up with four siblings moving around from California to the great state of
Iowa.
In October of 1970, Rebecca married her one true love, Lance Case. After Lance got
out of the army, they were ready for forever together. Together, they built a life and
raised one son, Chris.
Family was a huge priority to Rebecca. As her grand kids would say, “Grandma was
always there”, she never missed a moment! She was always willing to lend a helping
hand and was a great caretaker when her family and friends needed it. Working for the
Marion County Care Facility, Rebecca was getting her fill of taking care of those who
needed it and was great at it.
Rebecca was very smart and talented in so many ways. At one point in her life, she
worked at Camp Dodge for the Iowa National Guard doing secretary, finance and
logistic work. In Rebeccas kitchen, she would always make big meals for everyone to
eat. No one went without food, especially on Sunday’s when roast was on the dinner
menu.
Crocheting was something you would catch Rebecca doing in her free time, along with
spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Rebecca will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Lance Case; son, Chris Case;
granddaughters: Leanna (Darr) Hoffman, Lacey (Flora) Case and Chelsy Noble; great
grandchildren: Reagan Hoffman, Troy Herndon, Aaden Hoffman, Elijah Walton and
Hayden Martinez; sisters, Kathy Bowen-Clarke and Dianne (Rick) Ennis and many
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded by her siblings, Linda Clarke and Karen Perky, and her parents.
