In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 35 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 14 extra patrol requests, 7 paper service attempts, 2
request to assist another agency, 1 report of a suspicious person, 1 incomplete 911, 1
vehicle unlock, 1 report of suspicious activity, 1 rescue, 1 report of a reckless driver, 1
residential alarm, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, 1 accident, 1 return call, and 2
other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
84 calls including 25 911 calls
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 24 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: David Wayne Schell, age 61 of Runnells, was
charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to use seat belt-adult, provide proof
of financial liability, and possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd; Bryce
Phillip Benson, age 32 of Knoxville, was charged with 2 counts of child endangerment;
Angela Sue Hanke, age 59 of Knoxville, was charged with domestic abuse assault 1st.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 31 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 6 extra patrol requests, 4 paper service attempts, met with 2 subjects, 1 theft calls, 1
suspicious activity, 1 residential alarm, 1 incomplete 911, 1 fight, 1 found item, 1
reckless driver, 1 return call, 1 burglary, 1 follow up call, and 7 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 84 calls including 22 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Randy Scott Leavengood, age 58 of Knoxville, was charged with assault-
display dangerous weapons, criminal mischief 3rd degree, and harassment-2nd degree;
Heather Marie Sage, age 47 of Knoxville, was charged with 3 counts of failure to
appear/contempt of court.

April 29
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 38 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 11 paper service attempts, 4 extra patrol requests, 3 motorists assists, 3 returned
calls, 2 accidents, 1 incomplete 911, 1 transport, 1 criminal mischief, 1 school bus
violation, 1 livestock call, 1 harassment, 1 suspicious person, 1 request for traffic
control, 1 animal, 1 violation of no contact order, 1 wanted subject, 1 theft, 1 reckless
driver, 1 deer, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 92 calls including 10 911 calls.

into the jail: Steven Troy Johnson, age 59 of Knoxville, was charged with judgment
entry/mittimus; Amanda Elizabeth Rothfus, age 40 of Knoxville, was charged with theft
5th degree; Robert Edwin Dickey, age 77 of Pleasantville, was charged with OWI-3rd
offense; Kirk Lee Bentley, age 61 of Des Moines, was charged with criminal mischief 2 nd ,
burglary 3rd degree, and assault with a weapon-law officer/other; Robert Scott Elliott
McKnight, age 36 of Bussey, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and
possession of a controlled substance-1,2,3rd.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 42 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 12 extra patrol requests, 8 paper service attempts, 5 motorist assists, 2 civil calls, 2
return calls, 1 vehicle accident, 1 juvenile call, 1 fraud, 1 welfare check, 1 found item, 1
vehicle unlock, 1 deer in the roadway, 1 follow up, 1 domestic, 1 request to assist
another agency, and 3 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 107 calls including 23 911 calls.

into the jail: McKenna Marie Rutherford, age 27 of Knoxville, was charged with violation

up calls, 2 domestics, 2 return calls, 1 theft, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, 1 paper
service attempt, 1 fraud, 1 violation of a no contact order, 1 report of an animal in the
roadway, 1 vehicle accident, 1 transport, 1 wanted person, 1 school bus violation, 1
incomplete 911, and 5 other calls.

assault-3rd sub, and driving under suspension.

harassment, 1 report of a suicidal subject, 1 report of suspicious activity, 1 report of a
reckless driver, 1 return call, 1 request to meet a person, 1 report of trespass, 1 dog,
and 1 other call.
