No threat made

From the Marion County Sheriff’s Office
On the evening of September 19th, 2024 the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a
report of a message sent via social media by a student of the Melcher-Dallas School
District which had raised concerns. The Marion County Sheriff Office in conjunction with
the Melcher-Dallas School district have investigated the message and determined that
no threat to the school or any students was ever made. Parents of the student have
been made aware of the circumstances and are working collectively with the school
district and the sheriff’s office to handle the situation appropriately.
