June 19, 2025

Anna Marie Huseman, 93, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Knoxville, Iowa. A funeral
service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Knoxville, Iowa. The family will greet guests at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Anna
will be interred immediately following services at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Anna was born on July 20, 1931, Aurelia, Iowa, to Otto and Lisette (Gerike)
Braunschweig. She graduated from Aurelia High School in 1950. Shortly after
graduation, she worked for Valparaiso University. On January 25, 1952, Anna married
the love of her life, Herbert Huseman. The couple began their life together in San Diego
while Herb served in the Navy, and in 1954, they moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where
they raised their family. In 1972, the family relocated to Rice Lake, Wisconsin, where
they owned and operated a dairy farm. It was a life marked by hard work, long hours,
and a deep commitment to one another.
A woman of strong faith, she was a faithful member of her church and gave her time
generously serving in the Ladies' Aide, teaching Sunday School, and singing joyfully in
the church choir. Family and faith were at the heart of everything Anna did. She adored
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always ready with a hug, a homemade pie,
or a jar of her canned jam. She was the family historian, preserving memories and
sharing stories. She found joy in simple pleasures—baking cookies, raising flowers,
playing pinochle, and making sure no one ever left her home hungry.
Anna’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on through all who knew her. Left to
cherish Anna’s memory are her husband of 73 years, Herb; children, Roger Huseman
and Lynda (Kevin) Rice; grandchildren: Jamie Hamblin, Jennifer (Jason) Hintz, Lacie
(Ben) Oakley, Jeff (Sammi) Huseman, Seth (Grace) Rice, Caleb (Mariah) Rice, Micah
(Grace) Rice, Rebekah (Benjamin) Weadick, Esther Rice, Joseph Rice, Grace (Caleb)
McGinnis, and Ruth Rice; great grandchildren: Daelin Hintz, Kahler Hintz, Brannin
Hintz, Jaelyn Jostand, Azure Hintz, Kinsley Hamblin, Maxwell Oakley, Greyson Oakley,
Gideon Rice, Jedidiah Rice, Leah Rice, Molleigh Rice, Jael Rice, Harriet Rice, Asher
Rice, Simeon Rice, Obadiah Rice and Silas Rice; and a brother, Victor Braunschweig.
She was preceded by her parents; sons, Kenneth and Paul Huseman; granddaughter,
Bethany Huseman; great granddaughter, Fiona Rice; and her siblings: Eleonora,
Verona, Reinold, Gerhardt, Arnold, Carl, Bernard, Robert, Annette, Ottomar, Theodore,
and Cornelia.
