Krista Coe

A graveside service for Krista Lee Coe will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at
1:00 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Jim and Karen Coe.
Krista Lee was born to Jim and Karen Coe, the third of three children, in Knoxville on
Tuesday, September 7, 1982, one day after her mother Karen’s birthday.
Growing up, she enjoyed fishing with her dad and mom, and dancing. In high school,
Krista was on the dance and drill teams. She graduated from Knoxville High School with
the class of 2000.
Following high school, Krista attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
She taught daycare until she moved to Iowa City. Krista married Duane Brenneman and
to this union, one daughter, Jamie was born. They later divorced. Krista also worked at
a daycare in Iowa City, and she especially loved caring for the little babies.
Krista was engaged to Ray W. Hoeft, II. She loved her family, and enjoyed gardening
and flowers, and her two pet dogs.
Krista developed a love for antique cars, and she enjoyed taking cars to the Good Guys
Car Show. Krista was looking forward to an upcoming Model T car show. Krista is
survived by her daughter, Jamie, her parents Jim and Karen Coe; her sisters, Danielle
(Andy) Stagg and Lynette (Eric) Owens, and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
