Keith Fridlington

A celebration of life gathering for Keith Fridlington, 83, of Knoxville, will be held Sunday,
February 8, 2026, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in
Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knoxville Public Library or
Marion County Humane Society.
Keith passed away January 30th , 2026, at Serenity House in Oskaloosa, Iowa with Linda
by his side.
Keith Wayne Fridlington was born March 12th , 1942, to Lyle and Esther (Binns)
Fridlington in Knoxville, Iowa. Growing up on the family farm in Tracy, Iowa, he learned
exemplary work ethics, responsibility, and independence, which he exhibited all his life.
Keith attended school in Tracy, Iowa where he participated in track and basketball. He
graduated with the class of 1960, which was the last graduating class in Tracy.
Following graduation, he worked helping farmers and building houses for a local realtor.
In the mid 60’s Keith and other family members formed Fridlington Construction
Company, an affiliate of Butler Agri-Builder. Later he worked at 3M until his retirement.
In March 1977 he met the love of his life, Linda, on a blind date. They were married on
August 19th , 1977, in Knoxville, Iowa and shared 48 wonderful years together.
Keith was an avid reader and a World War II buff. He enjoyed woodworking, vintage
trucks and cars, attending auctions and pickup pulls, tinkering in his and Linda’s shop
and smoking his Swisher Sweet cigars. He was very talented and self-taught in building
design, even designing their current shop building, where he was always involved with a
project.
He survived by his wife and soulmate, Linda; their children: Monica (Rick) Wilson,
Elizabeth Dea, Kimberly (Paul) Webb, Keith (Annie Lampe) Fridlington Jr., Joel Turner;
their grandchildren: Ashley (Nate) Norton-Minard, Seth (Cierra Carter) Norton, Spencer
(Sarah) Webb, Logan (Amanda Gary) Webb, Eden Fridlington; their great
grandchildren: Tage Craycraft, Tayla Craycraft, Haley Norton, Ethan Norton, Kenzie
Webb, Brody Webb; and siblings: Jerry Fridlington, Kenny Fridlington, David Fridlington.
Preceded in death by his parents; Lyle and Esther Fridlington, in-laws, Charles and
Doris Beavers; sister: Carolyn Blackman; sisters-in-law: Susan Fridlington, Patricia
Fridlington; and grandson: Austin Webb.
