Feb. 15
In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 27 calls for service
including, but not limited to, 8 extra patrols, 4 paper service attempts, 3 reckless drivers,
2 suspicious persons, 2 grass fires, 1 welfare check, 1 report of a domestic disturbance,
1 report of debris in the roadway, 1 rescue, 1 fraud report, 1 wanted person, and 2 other
calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
95 calls including 40 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 16 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Joseph Arnold James, age 30 of Knoxville,
was charged with OWI-1st offense; Trenton Alexander Mohn, age 19 of Harvey, was
charged with violation of probation; Steven Troy Lee, age 58 of Knoxville, was charged
with public intoxication

to: 4 extra patrol requests, 3 grass fires, 2 thefts, 2 rescue calls, 1 return phone call, 1
wanted subject, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 trespass, 1 accident, 1 residential structure fire, 1
motorist assist, and 1 suspicious activity.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 91 calls including 19 911 calls.

into the jail: Jeremy A Brumley, age 36 of Hamilton, was charged with assault-display
dangerous weapons, and harassment-1st degree (threats); Donald Michael Carmer,
age 53 of Pella, was charged with driving while barred; David Charles Espeland, age 48
of Melcher, was charged with OWI-2nd offense, possession controlled substance-
Marijuana 1st, and open container-driver 21+ YOA; David Allen McNew, age 43 of
Prairie City, was charged with possession of controlled substance-marijuana 1st.

to: 4 extra patrol requests, 4 civil calls, 3 follow up calls, 3 reckless drivers, 3 paper
service attempts, 2 dog calls, 2 rescue calls, 2 grass fires, 1 fraud, 1 harassment, 1
wanted subject, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 criminal mischief, met with 1 subject, and 2
other calls.

fraud, 1 animal carcass, 1 theft, 1 wanted subject, and 3 other calls.
