Waugh officially files candidacy paperwork
Sinikka Waugh officially filed candidacy papers today at the State Capitol to place her name on the ballot for Iowa Senate District 11, which encompasses all of Warren County and parts of Marion County, including Knoxville.
“I saw people at the Capitol today--regular, everyday people--trying to advocate for Iowans. I’m running to make sure that all people have representation that will listen to their needs.” Waugh will lean on her strong faith, 18 years as a small business owner, and roles as professional, wife, mother, and daughter. She is running to restore healthy dialogue and responsible solutions so all Iowans can thrive.
Waugh said, “I do believe that we’re better when we listen to one another. I do believe that we don’t have to hate one another, and that the false divisions we’ve seen that have raised the temperature have divided us unnecessarily. I do believe that when we listen to one another, when we love our neighbors and look out for one another, we can come to good solutions that work for all of us.”
