Knoxville man dies following motorcycle crash

On March 21, 2026, at approximately 7:14 p.m. the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a motorcycle accident in the 1200 block of T17. 

Upon arrival, Pella Fire and Ambulance, Pella PD and Marion County deputies located Dylan Adkins, a 22-year-old male of Knoxville, who had sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. 

Emergency personnel provided immediate medical assistance on scene. 

Due to the severity of his injuries, the individual was transported by Mercy air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Despite life-saving efforts, the individual later succumbed to his injuries. 

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic incident. 

The accident remains under investigation.
