Linda was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved GiGi, whose life was marked
by her deep love for family and her passion for nature’s beauty. Her career as a Tax

within her family that brought her the greatest joy and fulfillment.
A woman of varied interests, Linda found joy in tending to her flowers, which were a
vibrant reflection of the love and care she poured into every aspect of her life. She was
one of the organizing members of the Red Hat Society and the Gardening Club,
bringing women together in friendship and shared passions. She was also an active
shining light in Xi Sigma Sorority, Marion County Historical Society, and P.E.O. Chapter
M. She also tried to never miss the Wednesday morning coffee club with friends.
Linda embraced adventure, frequently embarking on bus trips across the country with
her beloved husband, Roger. They especially treasured their journeys out west to
places like Utah, Las Vegas, and California. Her love for travel extended to the seas,
where she enjoyed cruises to Hawaii, to the Bahamas, through the Panama Canal, and
Alaska, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Her vivacious spirit was evident in her enthusiasm for sprint car racing in Iowa, where
she could often be found fervently cheering on her favorite driver, Kyle Larson.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Marguerite Littleton, and her
brother, Gary Littleton. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Roger
Brooks; her son, Donnie Davis, and his wife, Sherry, of Jacksonville; her cherished
grandchildren, Courtney (Chris) and Zachary (Gabrielle) of Jacksonville; and her adored
great-grandchildren, Lucky, Kya, Haiden, Macy, and Reece. Linda also leaves behind
her lifetime friend Betty Thomas and many other beloved family members who will
dearly miss her presence.
Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the
privilege to know her.
