Cooling Centers to open Sunday

The City of Knoxville will open two cooling centers at the Knoxville Public Library and Knoxville Rec Center from July 26- 27, 2026, offering public access during their normal operating hours to provide relief from excessive heat.

Knoxville Rec Center

800 S Park Ln

Saturday- 7am-7pm

Sunday- 1pm-5pm

Monday-Friday 5am-9pm

Knoxville Public Library

213 E Montgomery

Saturday- 10am-3pm

Sunday- Closed

Monday-Thursday-10am-8pm

Friday-10am-5pm
