Marion County Bank’s Report Card program generates record $80,491.08 for 14 area schools

Since 2007, Marion County Bank's Report Card Debit Card Program has provided customers with a simple way to support local schools. This year, the program generated a record $80,491.08 for 14 area schools, bringing the program's total lifetime impact to $660,066.75.

The Report Card Program allows Marion County Bank debit card holders to designate a participating school to support. Every time customers use their Marion County Bank debit card, the bank makes a contribution to the school selected by the customer. The more customers use their cards, the more support local schools receive.

More than 7,800 cardholders currently participate in the program.

"The Report Card Program is a great example of community coming together to support students, teachers, and schools. Individual purchases may seem small, but together they create meaningful opportunities for our schools."

While each school uses its Report Card funds differently, local administrators shared that the program has helped support a wide range of student experiences and educational opportunities. Report Card dollars have contributed to classroom resources, career and technical equipment, music and fine arts programs, student leadership and character development initiatives, specialized learning tools, and other investments that directly benefit students and teachers.

Enrollment in Marion County Bank's Report Card Program is free, and there is no limit to the amount a participating school can earn. Customers can learn more and enroll through the bank's website or by visiting one of Marion County Bank's locations.
