Central College to Debut Forever Dutch Wines at Homecoming

Central College, in collaboration with Tassel Ridge Winery, announces the release of two wines: Forever Dutch Red and Forever Dutch White.

The wines will be available for purchase during future Central events where alcohol is being served. Wine enthusiasts and Central supporters can first try them at Central's Homecoming celebrations, Oct. 2-4. Each wine can also be bought by the bottle at Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits and Fareway stores in Pella or be ordered through Tassel Ridge to ship anywhere in Iowa .

A percentage of sales will go toward the Journey Scholarship Fund, so every purchase is an investment in student success.

Both wines have a light, sweet flavor profile. With two options, buyers can take home their preferred type of wine.

These are the fourth Forever Dutch products launched in partnership between Central and area businesses. The wines join Forever Dutch Lager (Gezellig Brewing Co. and Pella Hops), Forever Dutch Chocolates (Van Veen Chocolates) and Forever Dutch Roast (Iris Coffee Company). Like the wines, all Forever Dutch products help fund scholarships for Central students.

"It's an honor to have Tassel Ridge join Central's mission to support students," says Sunny Gonzales Eighmy, vice president of advancement and 1999 Central graduate. "The interest in our other Forever Dutch products already has funded student futures, and with another underway, it helps us achieve our goal of awarding every Central student a Journey scholarship."
