Dameon Larson

Funeral services for Dameon Larson, 56, of Knoxville, will be Wednesday, September 11th at 10:30 a.m.
at the Knoxville First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery following the
service, where she will be laid to rest next to her son, Chase.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10th, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Knoxville First
United Methodist Church. Memorials in her honor may be given to the Knoxville Fire Department.

Dameon Michelle O'Boyle was born February 9, 1968, to Jim and Pam O'Boyle; one of five children
raised together in Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1986. She was married to Jeff
Larson on July 12, 1986, and then continued her education at Central College before transferring and
graduating from Simpson College with a degree in business. After college Dameon worked as a medical
transcriptionist in Des Moines and then began working in Knoxville for Brenton Bank where she started as
a teller and worked her way through all the ranks and eventually managed and ran the bank.

Dameon and Jeff have been blessed with six children: Ashley, Alex, Chase, Caleb, Marley, and Drake;
and with grandchildren: Olivia, Paislee, and Ayda. Devoted, maybe the best word to describe Dameon.
Her whole life was dedicated to everyone around her. She has always placed her family’s needs above
her own and worked selflessly for others in her personal life and her career.

Dameon's strong will, and devotion carried over into her career and support of family where she always
found the time to attend the kids' sporting events and endless seasons of basketball. Watching her kids
thrive was her passion. Dameon also loved to travel and before having children, she and Jeff enjoyed
many trips to Colorado where they enjoyed skiing, a hobby they passed onto the kids. They also took a
special trip to celebrate their 25th anniversary in Mexico where they renewed their vows. In 2010 Dameon
enjoyed a special trip to Italy with daughter Alex and her parents, Jim and Pam, where she took an Italian
cooking class with her Dad. Outside of travel, her favorite hobbies were reading, watching movies, and
cooking. Dameon often expressed her love for others through cooking. She was known for her special
nachos, slow cooker pork chops and abundant holiday baking. She knew everyone's favorite foods, and
no one ever left hungry or without leftovers.

Everyone was lucky to have Dameon in their life; her love, selflessness, and empathy for others was
shown to everyone around her. There have been so many good things in Dameon's life, but also so some
unbearable tragedies as well. The loss of Chase profoundly changed Dameon and the whole family; but
her focus remained on her family, as she was so proud of her children's accomplishments and the
outstanding people they have grown to be.

Dameon passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Preceding her in death were her sons:
Chase and Caleb; her father, Jim O'Boyle; and brother, James O'Boyle.
She will be greatly missed by her mother, Pam O'Boyle; husband, Jeff Larson; children: Ashley (Alec)
Kline, Alex (Luke Moore) Larson, Marley Larson, and Drake Larson; grandchildren: Olivia, Paislee, and
Ayda; siblings: Shannon McNaul, Megan (Ryan) Neville, and Ryan (Tonya) O'Boyle; father and mother in-
law, Mike & Dorothy Larson; brother-in-law, Bryan Larson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and
friends.
