including but not limited to: 6 extra patrol requests, 3 motorist assists, 2 domestics, 1
fight, 1 person with a gun, 1 structure fire, 1 juvenile, 1 rescue, 1 paper service attempt,
1 accident, 1 fire alarm, and 1 suspicious vehicle.
In the past 24 hours the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded 90
calls including 38 911 calls.
The Marion County jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects
were booked into the Jail: Paul Dean Lutz, age 57 of Knoxville, was charged with
reckless use of a firearm-no injury/damage, Intimidate with a danger weapon intended,
Ineligible to carry weapon, possession of a controlled substance 1,2,3rd, possession of
a controlled substance 1,2,3rd, possession of drug paraphernalia; Roy Emery Gee, age
46 of Knoxville, was charged with supplying alcohol to minor; Dustin Cordell Olberding,
age 21 of West Des Moines, was charged with driving while barred; Jermaine Tyler
Sammler, age 22 of Ottumwa, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

to: 13 extra patrol requests, 4 incomplete 911’s, 4 follow ups, 2 paper service attempts,
2 domestics, 2 motorist assists, 1 suicidal subject, 1 report of animal neglect, 1 report of
criminal mischief, 1 report of harassment, and 1 accident.
In the past 24 hours the communications center fielded 100 calls including 37 911 calls.

into the Jail: Michael David Sparks, age 49 of Des Moines, was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance 1,2,3rd, driving

of probation
