Miss Marion County Abi VanderLinden held an event to boost the confidence of younger dancers and more Sunday afternoon.

"This event was held for promoting staying healthy and active. For girls to see the true queen in yourselves for children and the youth. And it's also going to be a kickoff to my non-profit organization I'm starting called Radiant. And we are going to get donations together and send baskets and deliver them to the infusion center and every patient that goes through it," Abi said when asked more about the event.

When asked about her non-profit she's is starting she had this to say, "Yeah, so I'm really excited. My grandpa got diagnosed with brain cancer and he always found the light through everything and really stays positive. And so I'm hoping that I can help everybody that's going through really anything just find the light and stay super positive and encourage everyone to find the queen in themselves and stay active and just have a good mindset about everything."

Her next event will be at ladies night on the square, she will be setting up a booth with the Knoxville Hospital and there will be their donation baskets outside of the Elite Dance and we will be open for donations from everybody.
